Small tools for everyday body numbers
HealthOnDesk is a collection of simple calculators and practical articles. It is a helper website, not a hospital or clinic.
Why we built this
People often search for one number: a due date from the last period, water for a certain body weight, BMI, calories for a desk job, or how long they slept. They usually want a clear box before they want a long explanation. HealthOnDesk puts that box first. You enter the information you already have and the calculation happens in your browser.
We keep the wording ordinary because health pages can feel more frightening than useful. A number should come with its limits. That is why every result says it is an estimate, not medical advice. Bodies vary. Dates can be uncertain. A formula cannot see symptoms, medical history, blood tests, scans, medicines, pregnancy complications or the person sitting in front of a clinician.
What the tools can and cannot do
Our tools can perform straightforward arithmetic consistently. They can add 280 days to a last-period date, multiply weight by a hydration range, use a published calorie equation or turn steps into a rough distance. They can help you prepare a question, check a form or understand what a number means.
They cannot diagnose illness, confirm pregnancy dates, prescribe food, set a safe exercise heart rate or decide whether a symptom is urgent. Never stop or change medicine because of this website. If a HealthOnDesk result differs from advice given by your doctor, midwife or dietitian, follow the qualified professional who knows your situation.
How articles are written
The articles start with real search-style questions and familiar examples. They point back to the matching calculator and explain input mistakes that happen on phones, like typing feet into a centimetre field. We use plain English, short sections and dates on every post. Medical safety notes are kept visible, even when they repeat, because context matters more than making a page look neat.
Privacy and contact
There is no health account and no database of calculator entries. Advertising and basic site measurement may use cookies as explained in our privacy policy. Questions about the website can be sent to hello@healthondesk.com. Please do not email urgent symptoms or personal medical records; contact a local medical service instead.
